Mulberry (Ubi 1663)

Mulberry is a dark purple with tiny green sheen.

Ubi, or Ube purple yam, is among the country’s most popular food crops. Known to grow best in the province of Bohol than elsewhere in the Philippines, the province celebrates the Ubi Festival every year in January to celebrate this purple crop. And with purple associated with royalty, 1663 marks the complete victory of the Mindanao monarchies against the Spanish invaders.
