In 1908, Francisco Estanislao crafted a Christmas lantern that soon became known as a "parol," derived from the Spanish word "farol," meaning "lantern." The Parol stands as an indispensable Christmas symbol adorning nearly every Filipino home, representing the radiant star that guided the Three Kings to the newborn Jesus.
