The Nuritakurie colouring book inspired swatch cards by Nouto are a popular gift in Japan for fountain pen ink enthusiasts. The postcard size can be used as a commemorative artwork of your favourite inks or sent as a postcard to a friend when you are done.
The design is printed on paper with transparent ink that repels water so when water-based fountain pen ink or marker pens is applied to the paper, the picture or text appears in white. You can play around with adding water or different ink colours on the same sheet for interesting effects.
While dye based inks would generally be fine, we recommend avoiding using pigment inks or those that stain easily to keep the printed design clear. For inks you are unsure about, please swatch to test before using the cards.
