Paper Tasting sets from Yamamoto Paper are a great way test out unique Japanese papers to find your ideal pen friendly paper. Each paper provides different tactile experience that may work best with different types of pens.

The set includes three different types of paper pads in three different sizes, so you can try them out just like tasting wine and find the paper you like best.

B7: Bank Paper Takasago Premium: Developed by Yamamoto Paper, Takasago Premium has been produced with a focus on compatibility with fountain pens, smooth texture, ink shading, ink colour saturation and quick-drying ink for use as pages in notebooks. Suitable for dip pens, fountain pens, ball point and gel pens as well as pencils.

A6: Smooth Art Paper: This paper has a smooth texture, coated with white pigments such as white clay on the base paper with a matte coating to create a smooth writing experience, Suitable for fountain, ball-point and gel pens as well as pencils. 

B6: Hitsujigumo Bond: Also known as Sheep Clouds Bond, this paper is created with a perfectly blended Broadleaf pulp and conifer pulp combination due to strength and smoothness. When you look at the light through the paper, you can see the intertwine like Sheep Clouds. Suitable for dip pens, fountain pens, ball point and gel pens as well as pencils.
