Paper Tasting sets from Yamamoto Paper are a great way test out unique Japanese papers to find your ideal pen friendly paper. Each paper provides different tactile experience that may work best with different types of pens.
The set includes three different types of paper pads in three different sizes, so you can try them out just like tasting wine and find the paper you like best.
B7: Yoshi Washi: Made in Fukui Prefecture in Japan, this paper is made from the reeds found in the Yodogawa riverbed in Osaka. The reeds grown in this region are large, thick and highly elastic. Suitable for ballpoint and gel pens.
A6: Hitsujigumo Washi (Sheep Clouds Washi): Made in Ehime Prefecture, this is an artistic Japanese washi with rich tonal range in its texture achieved through proprietary water flow rate adjustment and papermaking method. Suitable for ballpoint and gel pens.
B6: Iro Masago: Also made in Ehime Prefecture, Iro Masago is made by embedding crushed coloured paper and recycled pulp. This pulp raw materials was developed by FOOD Co-op as part of their social efforts.
