CANOPUS NOTE is thread-bound notebook with 73gsm plain pages, and comes with 6mm grid & 12mm lined guide sheet. Yamamoto Paper created the notebook after extensive feedback on the best thickness to accommodate writing feel and usage of guide sheets.
CANOPUS is categorised as micro coated high-bulk paper - paper that is thick but light. Thickness of 73GSM is 120±3μm. it's the same as coated paper 150.0GSM. In other words, CANOPUS is more 50% lighter than matte coated paper regardless of the same thickness.
Why was this paper named Canopus? Because Canopus is located near the horizon in Japan, it has been said that the star is invisible when the earth burns in times of war or turmoil. In other words, this star is a symbol of peace. We named this beautiful paper "Canopus" in the hope that peaceful times will come from "writing and drawing".
