At the South-eastern tip of Korea, the Bangudae rock carvings are recognised as one of the world's most outstanding whale petroglyphs with highly realistic detail. The whales are drawn with enough detail you can even identify humpback whales, sperm whales and killer whales amongst other species. In the Port of Ulsan where this unique rock art is located, whales are worshipped as gods with a shrine dedicated to these majestic creatures.
