Vincent van Gogh 1853-1890
[Bouquet of Flowers in a Vase](1890)
Vincent van Gogh is a painter who today boasts a worldwide popularity and a one-of-a-kind presence, but his life was full of difficulties. In the midst of his deeply painful days, he found in art the strength to face difficulties, as well as healing and peace of mind. This work, with its characteristic blue and ochre colors and beautiful brick-shaped hatching, is said to be firmly connected to the landscape he painted shortly before his death in Auvers.
