Narrowleaf Cattail

Narrowleaf Cattail is a light green-grey chromoshading ink with hints of blue, purple and yellow. Swatched on Tomoe River paper.

Narrowleaf Cattail is an edible plant and an important food source in ancient China. The base of the stem can be boiled or roasted like potatoes while the young flower stalks can be steamed or boiled like corn. The pollen can also be used as a flour substitute.
