Kirako Glass Pens

Kirako Glass Pens

Today I wanted to introduce one of our new glass artists we are featuring at Soe & Soe and will be bringing to this year's Melbourne Pen Show coming up on 24th November.

Kirako is founded by the glass artist "Nonchi” born and raised in Fukushima, Japan. Growing up in the countryside of Minamisoma, she realised surrounding herself with the ocean and mountains kept her body and mind healthy after selling her creations in Tokyo. Kirako glass pens are designed with a nature theme in mind.

Nonchi originally started creating Japanese glass jewellery and later expanded into creating glass pens learning under Kiyoshi Matsumoto, one of if not the most famous glass artist in Japan.

Kirako store and workshop was opened in 2022 with glass accessories sold in Sendai, Shinjuku, Nagano, Okinawa, internationally including Mexico, New York and now will be in Australia.

We will be bringing 11 different Kirako glass pen designs to Melbourne is now available to view in our Pen Show Preview collection.

These pens will be available online after the show so if you can’t make it to the show and are eyeing particular designs you can sign up to the restock notifications to be the first to know as soon as they go live.

The Kirakira collection featured hollowed out glass bodies filled with glass, star sand and other sparkly gems as seen in the above image.

The Animal collection is available with Kame (Turtle), Iruka (Dolphin) and Medako (Japanese flapjack octopus.

The Ohana collection includes Flower Bouquet and Sakura.

For the attendees at the Melbourne Pen Show, please drop by and say hello!
